THE EFFECT OF SERVICE QUALITY ON COMMUNITY SATISFACTION IN TEWEH SELATAN DISTRICT, CENTRAL KALIMANTAN

Abstract

The services provided are not optimal, employee development at the Teweh Selatan District Office, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province has not received serious attention from the leadership, the placement of employees in positions is not in accordance with their competencies and employee performance is not as expected as the performance target. This study aims to determine the effect of Service Quality on Community Satisfaction in South Teweh District, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. The research approach used is explanatory quantitative (causality) with analytical survey method. The population is 490 people and the sample in this study is 83 people using accidental sampling technique. The results showed that the service quality consisted of Tangible (X1), Reliability (X2), Responsiveness (X3), Assurance (X4) and Empathy (X5) have a significant partial and simultaneous effect on community satisfaction in South Teweh District, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. Assurance variable (X4) is the dominant variable affecting community satisfaction in South Teweh District, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. It is hoped that there will be a service standard set by the government that regulates the friendliness and courtesy of employees in Teweh Selatan District, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province while serving people who need public services. Assurance variable (X4) is the dominant variable affecting community satisfaction in South Teweh District, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. It is hoped that there will be a service standard set by the government that regulates the friendliness and courtesy of employees in Teweh Selatan District, North Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province while serving people who need public services.
