Abstract

Public participation or participation in politics is the activity of a person or group of people to actively participate in political life, by electing state leaders, and directly or indirectly influencing government policy, public policy. Conventionally, these activities include actions such as voting in general elections, attending general meetings, becoming a member of a party or interest group, approaching or connecting with government officials or members of parliament and various other government activities. Political participation will run in harmony when the political process runs stably. There are often obstacles to political participation when political stability cannot be realized, therefore it is important for those in power to carry out a process of political stabilization. Apart from that, the next process also carries out political institutionalization efforts as a form of effort to provide opportunities for society to actualize its ideals.
